Conclusion
Building this portfolio has helped me connect what I do every day as a teacher and coach with the formal tools of social marketing and health communication. I work with students and athletes who are busy, stressed, and pulled in a lot of directions. They do not just need more information. They need clear messages, realistic options, and support that fits their actual lives.
Through the M.S. in Health Education & Behavior program at the University of Florida, I have strengthened my ability to design behavior-focused messages, evaluate strategies, and create materials that are accessible and practical. The examples in this portfolio reflect that growth and show how I use audience insights, visual design, and theory-based planning to support healthier choices.
Moving forward, I plan to keep applying these skills in my classroom, on the cross country course, and in future school and community initiatives. My goal is to continue improving how I communicate about health, safety, and performance so that students and families feel informed, respected, and capable of making decisions that move them toward their own version of “peak potential.” The skills gained through this program will continue to shape my professional development and guide my work as I support students and athletes in building healthier habits and stronger decision-making skills.
